Event Planning

True Colors Caribbean (TCC) was an organization that was born from a need and opportunity that I saw from being a graduate advisor for a student organization called Caribbean Student Association (CSA). There were over 26 CSAs throughout the various colleges and universities in Florida. A few friends and I decided to expand on the connectivity, trust, and overall reach of these CSAs and form a company.

TCC started as an event planning company in which we successfully hosted multiple college-student dedicated parties. I wanted TCC to have a great impact on not only the event attendees, but also the Caribbean community. Thus I began the idea of TCC Destination events.

TCC Bimini

For our first destination event, we chose my home country, The Bahamas. Together with Resorts World, we organized a weekend trip for 180 travelers to Bimini. We rented out the former Coco Plums restaurant and bar and hired local vendors to cater lunch. However, we wanted to give back to the community in more ways than just monetary support. So, we partnered with the Bimini All Age School and donated over 400 books. Some of our guests also volunteered to help paint and clean up the school. We also organized workshops where some of our attendees shared their experiences of being in college, working, and hosting dance classes..

TCC Jamaica

Following the successful TCC Bimini project, we promptly identified Jamaica as our next destination. We collaborated closely with the Jamaica Tourist Board to execute a trip that encompassed the participation of 250 travelers. Our team provided four schools with school supplies, workshops, televisions, and projectors. The trip garnered significant attention from local Jamaican media outlets, attesting to its triumph. We were also honored with the invitation to meet Prime Minister Andrew Holness and the former Minister of Tourism.

Boys & Girls Club Renevdezous

This annual charity event is one of the largest social superyacht gatherings in the world, raising more than $30 million to date to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County and the thousands of youth they serve.
